We are now looking for an ambitious and visionary Head of Robotics to lead our robotics division to the next level of innovation.
What will be your main tasks?
As the Head of Robotics, you will be responsible for leading all robotics-related activities across the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning, organization, coordination, and monitoring of robotics projects, optimizing existing solutions and driving new initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
- Ensuring continuous improvement of products and processes through performance analysis, quality enhancement, efficiency increase, and cost optimization.
- Overseeing system architecture, technical consistency, verification and validation activities, and compliance with technical requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Implementing new technologies and technical advancements by researching market trends and ensuring alignment with the latest developments in robotics.
- Approving technical documentation, electrical schematics, and CAD models, and ensuring all project documentation meets internal and industry standards.
- Leading budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and cross‑functional project integration across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams.
- Supporting field testing, participating in sales‑related activities, monitoring the market, and contributing to new product and process development to maintain global competitiveness.
- Managing departmental operations, preparing reports for leadership, and ensuring adherence to internal procedures and occupational safety requirements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners, participating in strategic negotiations, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Leading team recruitment and onboarding, mentoring and developing engineering staff, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
- Defining project input parameters, delegating tasks to appropriate experts, and reviewing labour hours, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
Who are we looking for?
We would be glad to meet a candidate with the following experience and skills:
- Minimum Master’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferably in mechanical design and product development) or aerospace engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience in the development of complex robotic systems or product development.
- Advanced understanding of strategy, optimization of existing project and business solutions, technical leadership, and project status reporting.
- Advanced understanding of key trends in the robotics and automation industry, including product design and development, and the implementation of new technologies and technical advancements.
- Advanced knowledge of design software programs (e.g. AutoCAD Inventor, CATIA, PTC, SolidWorks) and the MS Office suite, as well as project management.
- Advanced understanding of technical processes and standards.
- Advanced understanding of the implementation of safety and legal regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong leadership skills, including motivating teams, fostering open communication, and supporting professional growth through mentorship and delegation.
- High level of accountability and organizational skills, ensuring independent planning, high‑quality execution, and continuous improvement of departmental performance.
- Proactive and solutions‑oriented approach, encouraging innovation, resolving challenges effectively, and building a cooperative and trust‑based work environment.
